Episode 38
A Revolutionary Approach: British Prison Ships & the Killing of Christopher Seider During the American Revolution
Happy Independence Day, Americans! Or, for our friends in England, Happy Treason Day from the ungrateful colonials! This week, John & Christine team up to bring you two not-so-popular stories from the American Revolution that you may have missed in history class.
First, Christine takes a deep dive into the British prison ships and the terrible conditions prisoners were forced to endure throughout the war.
Later, John gets into the killing of 11-year old Christopher Seider, who would become the first casualty of the Revolutionary War when he was shot and killed during a protest in Massachusetts in 1770.
We hope you all had a great holiday here in the states!
